Humvees and other equipment sit in a a holding yard near the Port of Shuaiba, Kuwait, on Sept. 29, 2021. The humvee is one of many pieces of equipment being managed by the 1st Theater Sustainment Command Operational Command Post that is destined for the Iraqi Security Forces as part of the U.S. government’s strategy to counter the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria by building partner capacity through its Counter-Daesh Train and Equip Fund-Iraq program.
