CBMU 303 assists MESG-1 during NIEX Tent set up

IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 29, 2021) Seabees from Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit Three (CBMU 303) assist Sailors from Maritime Expeditionary Security Group (MESG) 1 in tent set up for a Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) Integrated Exercise (NIEX) on board Navy Outlying Field Imperial Beach, Calif. NIEX is an advanced phase training exercise that focuses on command control (C2) of a Navy Expeditionary Combat Task Force (NECTF) and supporting units in an operational environment. The exercise provides a setting for assigned NECC units to demonstrate and be assessed in the planning and execution of tasks in an adaptive force package (AFP), similar to what can be expected during major combat operations.
