U.S. Marines and soldiers with 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion (LAAD), Marine Air Support Squadron (MASS) 2 and 1-1 Air Defense Artillery, conduct an integrated training event at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 24, 2021. As part of the Unit Deployment Program, 2nd LAAD conducted this event, deploying an advanced man-portable air defense system (A-MANPADS) to fulfil training requirements of MASS-2 to learn the roles and capabilities of 2nd LAAD.
