U.S. Air Force retired Senior Master Sgt. Jim Hollister, member of the local Rolling Thunder chapter, displays bracelets honoring two veterans at a POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony Sept. 16, 2021, at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina. The black bracelet honors U.S. Army Master Sgt. Robert A Anspach, whose daughter gave it to Hollister at an event. He was killed in 1967 and his remains were never recovered. The silver bracelet was one that people wore to remember service members listed as POW-MIA in Vietnam. This one is inscribed: MAJ. RAYMOND SCHRUMP. He was released in 1973 and passed away in 2019 at the age of 87 in nearby Pinehurst, North Carolina.
