The sun rises over Toledo’s Northwest Ohio 9/11 Memorial in the early morning hours of Sept. 11, 2021. The memorial, featuring pieces from each of the three 9/11 crash sites, is located on the grounds of the Ohio National Guard’s 180th Fighter Wing, in Swanton, Ohio. The items include steel beams from the World Trade Centers, lime stone blocks from the Pentagon and soil from the crash site in Shanksville, Penn.
