Col. Jim 'Comet' Halley retired after 34 years of service in a ceremony held at the 104th Fighter Wing. Brig. Gen. Peter T. Green III, Assistant Adjutant General for Air, Massachusetts Air National Guard, presents Halley with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Medal of Merit. Halley served at the 104FW as an A-10 crew chief, A-10 pilot, and as an F-15C pilot. Distinguished guests present included retired Lt. Gen. L. Scott 'Catfish' Rice, Maj. Gen. Jon 'Motley' Mott, Brig.
