Col. Jim 'Comet' Halley retired after 34 years of service in a ceremony held at the 104th Fighter Wing. One of the A-10s from the 122nd Fighter Wing, Fort Wayne, Indiana that participated in Halley's fini flight sat outside the hangar during his retirement ceremony. Halley served at the 104FW as an A-10 crew chief, A-10 pilot, and as an F-15C pilot. Distinguished guests present included retired Lt. Gen. L. Scott 'Catfish' Rice, Maj. Gen. Jon 'Motley' Mott, Brig.
