U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Anthony Nail, a Tactical Combat Casualty Care instructor with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group, oversees and grades proper TCCC on Camp Hansen, Sept. 10, 2021. 9th ESB conducts TCCC classes to allow more Marines to become certified in combat lifesaving, a skill Lt. Col. Marcus Gillett, battalion commander of 9th ESB, plans for every Marine to have in the near future. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III MEF’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
