U.S. Marines with Alpha Battery, 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense (LAAD) Battalion, assigned to Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing load a Stinger Launch Simulator during a ground threat reaction training event with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 462 in Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 9, 2021. 2nd LAAD and HMH-462 conducted the training event to improve their skills and proficiency with both aerial maneuvers and the Stinger Launch Simulator.
