Lt. Col. Karim Branford, commander of the 1st Battalion, 143rd Infantry Regiment and Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey Stewart walk away from the Houtdorpeveld drop zone after parachuting from an aircraft during NATO’s largest technical Airborne exercise, Falcon Leap, Sept. 14, 2021 in the Netherlands. The exercise is led by the Royal Netherlands Army to highlight interoperability in observance of the 77th Anniversary of Operation Market Garden.
The exercise includes more than 1000 paratroopers from all over the world, 12 different nationalities, multiple airdrops per day and training with each other’s equipment for two weeks. This is NATO’s largest technical airborne exercise.
