Soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 143rd Infantry Regiment receive their German Airborne Wings alongside a Chilean Army Lt. Col. Alberto Mallea during NATO’s largest technical Airborne exercise, Falcon Leap, Sept. 14, 2021 at the Houtdorpeveld drop zone. The Chilean Army shares a state partnership with the Texas Military Department. Mallea is the Chilean Liaison Officer for the 82nd Airborne Division Officer.
