U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Ashley Jackson, a remote designee with the human resources office with the 182nd Force Support Squadron, 182nd Airlift Wing, Illinois Air National Guard, practices self-aid buddy care during a training exercise in Peoria, Illinois September 11, 2021. When asked what it means to work and serve on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 Jackson stated, “To serve on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11 leaves me both saddened and inspired. The patriotism and camaraderie of September 12th left each and every American feeling as if we were all connected to each other. We were one team, one fight. It’s hard to see the current division plaguing our country. I’m also inspired. Inspired for us to work to return to that level of overwhelming love for our country, our neighbors and our fellow brothers and sisters in arms.” (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Airman Paul Helmig)
