Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ron Rivera, unmanned aircraft systems operations officer, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), tests an RQ-118 Raven’s functionality Aug. 31 after fitting it with a 3D-printed prototype propellor system, while Sgt. Scott Karczewski, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd BCT, holds the aircraft steady. The project is one of several Soldier-led initiatives being developed through the EagleWerx Applied Tactical Innovation Center, which opened its physical location in August.
