U.S. Air Force Special Tactics operators from the 24th Special Operations Wing work together with humanitarian aid and medical personnel from Colombia and other partner nations in order to rescue a simulated casualty from an exercise disaster zone Sept. 2, 2021, during Ángel de los Andes Cooperación VII in Rionegro, Colombia. Ángel de los Andes is a Colombian-led Search & Rescue (SAR) exercise, while Cooperación VII is a multinational Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Response (HA/DR) exercise. Special Tactics Airmen are Air Force Special Operations Command’s tactical air ground integration force leading global access, precision strike, personnel recovery and battlefield surgery operations.
