(Aug. 31, 2021) Seabees assigned to U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 place concrete for a 150-foot-by-150-foot concrete pad for vertical takeoff and landing on San Clemente Island, Calif. The Seabees began the project exercising construction and support of Expeditionary Advanced Base and Advanced Naval Base Operations as part of Exercise TURNING POINT while its completion will allow for increased real-world training and operational capacity on the island.
