BATON ROUGE, La. -- A non-COVID-19 patient reaches for U.S. Air Force Maj. Melanie Donohoo, a clinical nurse specialist assigned to the 81st Medical Group at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, while being treated in Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sept. 7, 2021. The San Juan, Puerto Rico native works in the intensive care unit as part of the DoD medical support team that deployed to COVID hotspots across the U.S. at the request of FEMA or other lead-federal agencies.
