Recently completed barracks renovation work is seen here at the Gjorce Petrov Police Compound in Skopje, North Macedonia August 3, 2021. The renovations, which are the most recent example of a handful of improvements at the compound over the years, will enable more law enforcement professionals from North Macedonia and throughout the region to participate in training and exercises geared toward combating regional narcotic trafficking. The project, funded through the U.S. European Command, was built in close collaboration with the Department of Justice’s International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program team based in the U.S. Embassy in Skopje.
