USACE has a FEMA assigned mission for deployed subject matter experts to assess damages to infrastructure systems in the Hurricane #Ida response. These assessments help with the planning for mission requirements. A team has completed the assessment of Concourse B of the Louis Armstrong International Airport for medical evacuation purposes. The Concourse has flooded floors, broken windows, and other damages. The team is now coordinating with FEMA to determine needs for water and waste-water assessments. Photo by Joseph Kasperski
