The mechanized infantry assault allowed Marines to work alongside Australian M113AS4 Armored Personnel Carriers and M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tanks to seize an objective point. Exercise Koolendong validates MRF-D’s and the Australian Defence Force’s ability to conduct expeditionary command and control operations, demonstrating the shared commitment to being ready to respond to a crisis or contingency in the Indo-Pacific region.
