A U.S. service member shoots for goal during a joint friendly soccer game at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Aug. 13, 2021. Organized by French and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) chaplains, the event offered service members the opportunity to compete against one another while strengthening relationships among the partner nations. CJTF-HOA regularly engages allied and partner nations, coalition forces and interagency/intergovernmental organizations to achieve a unified effort in East Africa.
