The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Spencer (WMEC-905) backs away from the pier of Coast Guard Base Boston to begin transiting to its new homeport of Coast Guard Base Portsmouth, Virginia, August 18, 2021. The Spencer is a 270ft medium endurance cutter that carries out coast guard missions such as search and rescue, law enforcement, and maritime defense.
