Cobra Gold 21: Royal Thai, US Armed Forces strengthen partnership through humanitarian civic action

U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Alam-Michael Kelly, left, an engineer assistant, and Lance Cpl. Marshall Martinez, a combat engineer, both with Bridge Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group, paint the exterior of the Baan Mai Thai Pattana School during Exercise Cobra Gold 21, in Sa Kaeo province, Kingdom of Thailand, Aug. 3, 2021. U.S. Marines joined Royal Thai Armed Forces to construct an 8 X 20-meter multipurpose facility that will help accommodate the school’s growing number of students, enable educational opportunities and community development, and continue to strengthen bonds between the U.S. and Thai Armed Forces. Cobra Gold 21 emphasizes security cooperation as well as civic actions, such as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, and seeks to expand regional cooperation among like minded allies and partners.
