Danica Johnson, wife of Lance Cpl. Joe Johnson and a Los Angeles native, familiarizes herself with a shoulder-launched multipurpose assault weapon during 5th Marine Regiment’s Jane Wayne Day here, Sept. 28, 2012. Jane Wayne Day is dedicated to giving spouses and family members of Marines and sailors a chance to walk in their loved one’s boots for the day. Through live fire ranges, repelling down a tower, performing physical fitness tests and examining static weapons and vehicle displays, spouses and family members gained a better understanding of what it is like to be a Marine or sailor.
