New Cadet Visitation Day, also known as the Ice Cream Social, allowed new cadets from the U.S. Military Academy Class of 2025 to have a short break from the demands of Cadet Basic Training Sunday. Staff, faculty, coaches and members of the West Point community hosted the new cadets in their homes and gave them a relaxed, informal atmosphere where the new cadets called home (left), enjoyed drinks and treats (bottom) while asking questions and learning about the military lifestyle. The new cadets also interacted with other new cadets (below) during NCVD before they returned to their companies to begin the second half of CBT.
