Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 169th Aviation Regiment conduct air hoist operations with the Kosovo Force Commander, Major General Franco Federici, and Command Sergeant Major Andrea Torre at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, July 19, 2021. MEDEVAC air hoist operations are used for search and rescue missions, enabling flight medics and patients to get in and out of the aircraft when it is unable to make a safe landing.
