WIESBADEN, Germany—The 2021 Summer Hire session started June 21 on U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden with an official swearing in during a Summer Hire Orientation event in Tony Bass Auditorium.
For six weeks, 13 youth will be working at Outdoor Recreation, the Golf Course, the
Directorate of Public Works and the Postal Services Center to gain work experience.
Garrison Commander Col. Mario Washington and Directorate of Human
Resources Director, Chris Pittman, welcomed the summer hires. Then, they received briefings about workplace etiquette, safety, the Army Substance Abuse Program, equal employment opportunity, financial planning and the sexual harassment/assault response and prevention program.
After the orientation, the summer hires went with their supervisors to their workplaces for the first time.
