Carl Miller, M1 Abrams system maintainer, Forward Support Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, properly dawns experimental camouflage during uniform field testing at Fort Bliss Training Center’s Area 19 outside Alamogordo, N.M., Sep. 21, 2012. Miller participated in the testing of multiple uniforms and equipment to include headgear, infrared flags and face paint on the amount of thermal reflection each item gives off.
