Navy teaches Tactical Combat Casualty Care to Army

CAMP LEMMONIER, Djibouti (July 10, 2021) U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Jonathan Martinez from Riverside, Calif., guides U.S. Army soldiers of Task Force Iron Gray in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training being taught by U.S. Navy Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 11 (MSRON 11). TCCC was developed by the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency (DHA) Joint Trauma System to teach evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield. While there is no replacement for real-life experience, medical training mannequins provide the next best substitute in responsive training aids, allowing trainees to hone skills before applying them in the field. Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where and when they are needed to ensure security in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
