Staff Sgt. Jackie Jones, communications platoon sergeant, Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 3rd Battalion, 16th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, reads to a group of children in their classroom Sept. 25, 2012. Keller Elementary School is partnered with 3rd Bn., 16th FA Reg. as part of Fort Carson’s Adopt-A-School program. Soldiers volunteer at schools and work with children. The schools coordinate with units to decide what soldiers will do, such as mentoring students, working at events or tutoring children.
