New Faces of the KYARNG – Pfc. Sophia Matich recently completed her basic training and Advanced Individual Training and is now a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) crewmember with the 1/623rd Field Artillery, Bravo Battery in Monticello, KY.
Matich, from Richmond, KY, is currently a full-time student at Eastern Kentucky University and has already enrolled in the Reserves Officer Training Corps to further advance her career and experience.
“I’ve had a chance to meet new people in the National Guard, gained leadership experience and it has already brought me a lot of job opportunities,” said Matich.
