Stacked bags of contaminated soil wait to be transported from the Cape Prominence Formerly Used Defense Site during cleanup efforts by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District. Located on a remote part of Unalaska in the Aleutian Islands, crews staged bags near the shoreline until the soil could be removed by a barge.
