U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Jerry Eagle, explosive ordnance disposal demolitions operations supervisor, radios the Joint Operations Center to ensure the detonation area is clear before an ordnance detonation Sept. 17, 2012, at a Djiboutian demolition range. The three-day partner training allowed U.S. and French service members to share ordnance disposal best practices. “We do many joint operations together,” said Eagle. “A lot of the French EODs have worked with our forces in Afghanistan. So, a lot of the tools and techniques we use are the same out here.”
