Adam Hipwell (left), Forward Support Company, 6th Engineer Battalion, of San Jose, Calif., goes over the slingload checklist with Sgt. 1st Class Thomas Stokesberry, B Company, 1st Battalion, 207th Aviation Regiment, Alaska Army National Guard, of Wasilla, Alaska, as the unit preapre to conduct operations at Landing Zone Ranger, JBER-Richardson, Sept. 20, 2012. The soldiers were responsible for setting up the landing zone, rigging both a High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle and water trailer for slingloading, and maintaining communications with an UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter as part of unit proficiency in providing critical supplies and equipment by rotary aircraft delivery.
