A recruit of Company K, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, finishes up his 25-meter swim with a waterproof-pack Sept. 11 at the swim tank aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. Recruits are taught how to effectively swim while using a pack so that they know that they're able to survive if they were ever in a similar situation.
