Chief Petty Officer Clinton Sprabary, a command career counselor with the 1st Marine Division, is pinned to his current rank by his wife, Jaymie, at a promotion ceremony here, Sept. 14. Sprabary, a 36-year-old native of Denton, Texas, was later symbolically “welcomed aboard” ship after entering the senior enlisted ranks within the Navy. Selected chief petty officers undergo extensive training before being promoted and recognized as senior leaders and experts within their units.
