U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Jose Hernandez, 125th Maintenance Squadron non-destructive inspection supervisor, uses a magnetic particle inspection yoke to detect surface flaws in steel and iron components. Airmen within the non-destructive inspection lab inspect the insides of aircraft parts by magnetic particle, ultrasonic testing, oil analysis and x-ray methods to verify the structural integrity and safety of aircraft and equipment.
