The Victory Corps remembers and honors the courage of the Soldiers that stormed the beaches 77 years ago during Operation Overlord. In the first 15 hours of combat, V Corps suffered 2,500 casualties, but still managed to fight through the German defenses to secure the beachhead. The landings at Normandy helped turn the tide of the war and paved the way for Allied victory over Nazi Germany a year later.
V Corps D-Day Infographic created to highlight V Corp's role during Operation Overlord, June 6, 1944. (U.S. Army Infographic by PV2 Devin Klecan)
