210525-N-EV253-2928 SAN DIEGO (May 25, 2021) – Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Luis Nazareno, from Pasadena, California, and assigned to the “Merlins” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3, uses a rescue hoist to recover Naval aircrewmen practicing search and rescue (SAR) jumps during a SAR qualifications course. HSC-3 is the Navy’s west coast MH-60S fleet replacement squadron, responsible for training pilots and aircrewmen by providing the most capable warfighters to the fleet.
