The Naval Officer’s Spouses Club of Camp Lejeune recently gifted the Pastoral Services Office of Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune with 49 infant memory boxes.
The boxes, each with special memory items, will be given to families who may face coping with the loss of a child.
NOSC initially set a goal to raise funds of $1,000 for the boxes, but they surpassed their goal, raising more than $2,400 for the infant memory boxes.
Pastoral Care’s own Reverend Charles Quarles said, “One of the first steps in healing is remembering. A lot of lives will be touched by these boxes.”
