Edwin Calderon prep Class VIII supplies in Kaiserslautern, Germany, for transport to COVID isolation facilities across Eastern Europe for DEFENDER-Europe 21. 8th Medical Company (Logistics) managed the contingency and PPE stock for U.S. Army Europe and Africa in support of DE21. More than six months of planning went in to managing and maintaining these supplies for the European theatre. The supplies enabled surveillance testing and contained the threat of COVID-19 and facilitated the training conducted by the maneuver units.
