Marines serving with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, hug mothers of fallen Marines here, Sept. 13, 2012. Marines, friends and families gathered at Camp San Mateo to view a vintage Chevrolet pickup truck, painted with a patriotic mural that was dedicated to the fallen Marines of 3rd Bn., 5th Marines. During a 2010 deployment to Afghanistan, the battalion suffered 25 killed in action and more than 200 total casualties.
