U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Jesse Meraz, an 88th Operations Support Squadron airfield management operations coordinator, keeps track of inbound and outbound flight plans at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio on March 3, 2021. The Airfield Operations Flight is divided into two parts: air traffic control and airfield management. Together, they are responsible for controlling all air traffic around a 5-mile radius of the base as well as everything on the flight line, including runways, taxiways, vehicle traffic, maintenance, construction and personnel.
