Brig. Gen. Jeffrey B. McCarter (left), Deputy Commanding General of Army Reserve Medical Command, observes as Sgt. Tara Conde, an Army Reserve combat medic specialist from New Orleans, Louisiana, returns a pet to owner, Ellia Wilson of Rolette, North Dakota, after it received veterinary services provided by the 7354th Veterinarian Det. and the Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue, during a Innovative Readiness Training event held May 7, 2021 in Belcourt, ND. The Department of Defense sponsored event offered no cost veterinary services while offering real world training opportunities for service members and units to prepare them for their wartime missions while supporting the needs of America’s underserved communities.
