Congratulations to BU2 Daniel A. Claypool, who reenlisted recently during a ceremony held onboard the Washington Navy Yard.
Claypool is from Orlando, Fl., and has served aboard NAVFAC Washington since June 2019. He has been involved in Carderock Boiler Plant operations and is currently working on new Public Works Officer boards, among many other duties.
"I knew since my freshmen year in high school that I was going into the military," Claypool said. "This isn’t the path I had planned on, but I’m extremely happy with where I am and what I have done."
Claypool was promoted to Petty Officer 2nd Class in September 2019 and choose to reenlist because he enjoys his rate and the Seabee community.
"I have enjoyed working with NAVFAC Washington. The leadership is top notch and my fellow Bees are great to work with."
