Mock civilian casualties board a CH-47 Chinook helicopter at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center under the direction of crewmembers from the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, Ft. Carson, Col., during Guardian Response 2021. The training scenario included 150 role-players who represent displaced personnel experiencing a worst-case scenario nuclear event in a large U.S. city. Capt. Robert Williams, 4th CAB, said the training is also valuable when responding to a hurricane landing, floods, tornados or other natural disasters in order to provide a relief element to individuals affected on the ground.
