PACIFIC OCEAN (April 27, 2021) An MV-22B Osprey, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 165 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), takes off from the flight deck of amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), April 27. Essex is underway as part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) conducting routine training off the coast of southern California with the 11th MEU.
