Coastguardsman Damage Controlman 3rd Class Kyle Hollister of Los Angeles, handles lines during the arrival of U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Katmai Bay (WTGB 101) for Buffalo Navy Week. Hollister said, "It is neat, really interesting to have this interaction between the armed services, and especially to see the US Navy out here. For Buffalo citizens, it is a rare sight to see the Navy, so this week will attract a lot of people." Buffalo Navy Week 2012 is one of 15 signature events planned across America in 2012. The weeklong event commemorates the bicentennial of the War of 1812, hosting service members from the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps. Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy.
