U.S. Military Working Dog Matyi sniffs a military generator for potentially harmful materials at the port authority in Zadar, Croatia as his handler Spc. Maxwell Mattingly. Both are assigned to the 100th Military Police Detachment (MWD) based in Stuttgart, Germany. The pair patrolled the port on May 4, 2021, to ensure the safety of Croatian, British and U.S. soldiers who worked to unload more than 40 pieces of military equipment from U.S. Naval Ship Yuma in support of DEFENDER-Europe 21.
