Cpt. Gabriel Perez, 50th Regional Support Group – Florida National Guard, prepares to bench-press during a joint sports day hosted by the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team and the 11th Armored Cavalry Division – Poland at Zagan, Poland, April 27. The events, designed to build camaraderie, test fitness and strengthen partnerships, included 4x 400 meter relays, volleyball, weightlifting competitions, and a warrior fitness challenge. The sports day between IRONHORSE Troopers and their Polish counterparts is a part of Atlantic Resolve, where approximately 6,000 Soldiers are participating in nine-month rotations, enabling the U.S. to enhance deterrence, increase readiness and support NATO.
