Sgt. 1st Class Juan Gonzales, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team “IRONHORSE,” hands the baton to fellow IRONHORSE Trooper Spc. Joshua Padilla during a joint sports day between the U.S. and Polish at Zagan, Poland, April 27. The events, designed to build camaraderie, test fitness and strengthen partnerships, included 4x 400 meter relays, volleyball, weightlifting competitions, and a warrior fitness challenge. The sports day between IRONHORSE Troopers and their Polish counterparts is a part of Atlantic Resolve, where approximately 6,000 Soldiers are participating in nine-month rotations, enabling the U.S. to enhance deterrence, increase readiness and support NATO.
